More than 10 years of experience as a tutor in both online and classroom setups

I have had more than 10 years of experience as a tutor in a prominent tutorial and review center in my home country. I have handled one-on-one and group sessions as well as classroom-style review lectures for high school and college entrance test preparation, focusing mainly on Math, Science, and English. I did all of these on both full-time and on-call bases. I also handled IB-level Chemistry and Biology tutorials, both on standard- and higher-level syllabi. I am proud to say that I have managed to help students gain better grades in school and even qualify for their dream universities. Since the onset of the pandemic, I have been conducting online tutorials as a freelancer. As a tutor, I love helping out students with learning new concepts or those that they have some struggle in understanding. I always start off with some pep talk for the first session and then we can build rapport thereafter to ensure that I earn your trust. After all, I firmly believe that the most important thing is allowing one's self to be more open to learning. You can check my profile and my welcome videos. Should you believe we can be a great fit, please feel free to hit me a message and we can discuss things out!

Freshman at IU Bloomington

Hi! My name is Hannah and I am a freshman at IU Bloomington! MUSIC THEORY is a HARD class. I have taken it three times! I tutor the students in my music theory classes as well as my professor's students in his lower classes. I love sharing my knowledge of music and would like nothing more than to help others understand and love it as well. PROOFREADING is something I enjoy doing. Through proofreading all of my friends' essays over the years, I have gotten quite good at it. I am more than happy to proofread any essay sent my way. I LOVE MATH, I want to share my passion for problem solving and show others how it doesn't have to be frustrating and boring. I LOVE EDITING and WRITING, so please let me help make writing fun and easy! Being the grammar police isn't a bad thing... My favorite things are my dog, my fish, the mountains, and school;) Math is my jam! I love algebra and problem solving... as someone who struggled with math for years I understand the frustration of misunderstanding. Fear not! I am so excited to help students overcome their struggles just like I did. I graduated from Evergreen High School in Colorado last year where I tutored many of my peers since sophomore year. After years of struggling with ADHD and poor test taking/studying skills, I finally figured out what works for me and I love to help other students figure out a good solution for themselves as well. I am majoring in Audio Engineering in the Jacobs School of Music, but I have always loved math and writing. I am planning on minoring in secondary education as well;) I am passionate about teaching and take every chance I get to help other students. I am a great editor (and I enjoy editing papers) and I have experience helping with essay writing, reading comprehension, and overall reading strategies. I would love to help students with any math between Algebra-I and Algebra II (or middle school math!).

Mathematics, Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering Tutor

Hello! I'm Suheila, a mathematics and chemistry tutor. I've been delivering tutoring for individual and group instruction for 5 years ranging from K1 - K12 math lessons (Arithmetic, Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra, Precalculus) to university-level courses (Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Differential Equations). I am also familiar with chemical reaction engineering (kinetics and reactor design), and general, analytical, organic, and physical chemistry. For engineering subjects, I enjoy going through unit operations (separation and transport processes) To get a quick view of my process/teaching style, for online lessons, I usually start by gathering information on the syllabus, required textbooks, and current topics. From there, we could work on which areas you would like help in through concepts, lots of practice examples, and solved problems from your textbook.

I strive to help students surprise themselves with their own abilities.

FIRST HALF HOUR SESSION IS FREE FOR ALL STUDENTS Despite being an architecture graduate, I actually began my university journey as a chemistry major, taking electives in biochemistry and biology. I've always excelled in math and the sciences, and I genuinely enjoy them. I grew up tutoring my younger sister—someone who absolutely despises math! Through helping her, I learned how to teach concepts in different ways, especially for students who don’t naturally think mathematically. Most importantly, I’m patient, engaging, and skilled at keeping a student’s attention. I focus on building confidence, breaking down concepts with multiple approaches, and helping students find joy (and success!) in mathematical problem-solving.
