I focus on closing the gap for students who usually struggle in and/or have fallen behind in Algebra I or the math subjects prior to it, such as Pre-Algebra (7th and 8th grade Math), while helping them build confidence. After I determine the gaps in the student's understanding, the concepts they missed in prior grades or lessons, I then work on closing those gaps so they gain the proper understanding of the math. I also make sure students build confidence by providing opportunities for them to experience success during each session!
