Before attending UAB, I studied at a community college in Ivory Coast, where I was the president of the mathematics club, a teacher's assistant, and a tutor. As President of the Mathematics Club, my primary goal was to help students in need by providing them with the best approach to understand challenging concepts. I often tutored more than three students at a time and truly loved seeing my students happy at the end of each session. In addition, I am currently a tutor at the UAB Regions Institute for Financial Education. Part of our mission there is to provide mathematical support to high school students. While it was sometimes challenging to help students who lacked foundational knowledge, we consistently found ways to overcome those issues.
