Improving one's score not only means being familiar with the subject material, but also requires the right pacing, problem-solving strategies, and test-taking skills. In over a decade as a professional tutor, I have helped more than 800 students prepare for the SAT, ACT, ASVAB, GED, and GRE. Writing is another area where I can provide assistance. For students working on their college essays, I can offer guidance on selecting a prompt, constructing a response, and editing the final draft. If you’re writing a paper, I can walk you through the entire process, from brainstorming to constructing a thesis to finding and citing references to editing. I’ll help you understand the rules of grammar, punctuation, and format, and I'm familiar with the MLA, APA, and Chicago schools of style.

Grade 12 (Calculus & Vectors): This is a course I took less than 2 years ago, so my memory is still fresh! It can sound intimidating and can be really hard if not explained properly, but that's why I'm here! I can help make topics like derivatives, limits, and vectors feel much easier to understand. I place a huge emphasis on solving questions step-by-step and breaking them down into smaller steps in order to make sure the student is able to keep track, understand, and ask questions when needed. This will help the students build a good foundation in calculus, rather than just memorizing formulas. Whether your child needs a little extra help, wants to stay ahead, or is preparing for an upcoming test or exam, I'll be happy to work with them at their own pace and help them reach their goals!
