Because of my high score on my SAT and my status as an international student, I received a full-tuition scholarship that was exclusively meant for international students, and after spending one year as a freshman, I got into a position of a Resident Advisor and basically got myself into a full-ride scholarship with no fees to worry about. I tutored all math-related subjects (arithmetic, algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, and some higher mathematics courses), but I especially enjoy teaching SAT prep and high school / middle school mathematics since I had the most experience tutoring in these subjects. I think my teaching philosophy is to connect with my student first, and then try to figure out what problems they are facing so that they can understand and overcome the obstacle that lies ahead.
