As a chemistry teacher, I used a variety of teaching methods to keep the students engaged and interested. I often start with a demonstration or hands-on activities to pique the students' curiosity and then lecture on the relevant concepts through a series of practice problems and activities to help them solidify their understanding. Ultimately, my goal is to ensure the student has confidence in meeting course expectations. I connect with students and sympathize with their struggles because I have had to go through the same thing that they go through.
