UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA AT BIRMINGHAM
I am Fabien M. I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Before attending UAB, I studied at a community college in Ivory Coast, where I was the president of the mathematics club, a teacher's assistant, and a tutor. As President of the Mathematics Club, my primary goal was to help students in need by providing them with the best approach to understand challenging concepts. I often tutored more than three students at a time and truly loved seeing my students happy at the end of each session. In addition, I am currently a tutor at the UAB Regions Institute for Financial Education. Part of our mission there is to provide mathematical support to high school students. I have experience working with students in Algebra I & II, Pre-calculus, Calculus I, II, & III, and Differential Equations. While it was sometimes challenging to help students who lacked foundational knowledge, we consistently found ways to overcome those issues. Overall, I have three years of tutoring experience internationally and nearly a year of tutoring experience within the United States. We are all lifelong learners, myself included. However, when it comes to mathematics (Algebra I & II, Pre-calculus, and Calculus I, II, & III), there's no need to be afraid! Believe in your abilities, and come join me—I will help you master your subject."

Hi, I'm a PhD Scholar from University of Westminster, London UK. I served as a Lecturer Chemistry at Concordia. I've rich experience of teaching chemistry for over a decade. Apart from chemistry, I've also been tutoring biology and physics with great success, and I've produced remarkable results. I'm a certified, experienced, active and professional online tutor with all the tools needed for online tutoring, like a digital pen and writing tab, which are required for quick, efficient and effective virtual learning. I'm dealing with all grades and almost all international curriculums including GCSE/IGCSE & AS/A level (of CIE, Edexcel, AQA, OCR) IB, AP, CBSE, ICSE, ACT, SAT, MCAT, Olympiad and other regular and competitive exams. I'm also familiar with American, British, Canadian, and Australian curriculums. I'm tutoring chemistry to Undergraduate and Postgraduate students as well, dealing with all branches of Chemistry. Now, I would like to share my teaching methodology. I do not deliver formal online lectures during which students mute themselves and keep enjoying their sleep. My lessons are quite interactive and discussion based. During my lesson, I use different slides, diagrams, pictures, animation, and video clips to make it interesting and for a better understanding of students. I ensure that the students are actively grasping each concept by asking them questions during the lesson. I evaluate the students in the very first lesson, and then I try to customize my lessons according to the requirements. After completing each topic, we do the topic questions of that topic, I also assign weekly tests and assignments to my regular students. In the end, we practice past papers. I'm also an expert at solving past papers, and I have all the required learning resources like textbooks, notes, worksheets, and practice questions (including both MCQs and Structured Questions) This methodology proved to be successful, and many of my students secured A+ and A grades.

I have been a professor at two universities and have years of tutoring students for undergraduate and graduate statistics and epidemiology courses. A highly rated and empathetic teacher realizing that the anxiety that many students feel when confronted with statistics is out of proportion to the difficulty of the subject. I am very conscious of the discomfort of the student and emphasize getting a solid understanding of key concepts rather than the mathematical details. I have developed a criminal legal analogy (published in the Medical Teacher Journal) for statistical testing that has proven highly successful at emphasizing deep understanding of statistical concepts. I have advised many students on statistical, design and interpretative issues for their research papers and theses.

I am a native English speaker from New York State in the United States, currently living in Brussels, Belgium. I have been learning French for the past three years, and I know firsthand how important speaking the language regularly is to becoming proficient in that language. I also understand how uncomfortable and scary that can be! I can help you to feel comfortable speaking in a non-judgmental environment while having fun, too! I can correct you in the way that works best for you. We can talk about whatever suits you. See how speaking regularly in a no-pressure way can help you to get to the next level. I'm looking forward to meeting you soon!

NOTE: I have taught classes to students from universities in Spain, Denmark, and Norway, achieving satisfactory and passing results in the final exams. Hello! How are you doing? Are you struggling a bit with Matlab, or maybe a lot? No problem! Let's explore the things you would like to learn/understand about this very useful and powerful programming language (once you master it, of course) and clarify all your doubts so that you can see how to excel in it. And all this will be done in a dynamic, enjoyable, and straightforward way, using a language that everyone can understand. In just a few classes, you may not even require additional classes because I am confident that with my teaching method and your effort, this will be a piece of cake, and you may even teach your classmates MATLAB! And since you've read this far, I have to confess that I was initially a "beginner" in Matlab. In fact, I was struggling until someone made me understand that what I believed to be impossible was actually not me but my instructor failing to communicate. Does this experience sound familiar to you? In fact, things have changed a lot since then. I have taught Matlab classes at Aalborg University in Denmark, and my students gave me excellent reviews (as you can see from my ratings:). So what are you waiting for? Let's conquer that challenging guy named MATLAB!
