I have completed a Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Science at York University in 2020. In 2022, I completed a Master of Health Science degree at the University of Toronto, specializing in the field of Clinical Embryology. I now work as an embryologist at a fertility clinic. I have always had a passion for teaching and student development, which I was able to foster with TA opportunities throughout my time in graduate school. I enjoyed helping students in larger groups as well as individually, creating practice quizzes, personalized teaching sessions and providing assignment advice. The overwhelming positive feedback I received from my undergraduate students motivated me to continue teaching! ***Policies: updated Oct 2025 * first 15 minute consult is free to discuss goals and expectations * sessions must be booked at least 48 hours in advance * first no-show without notice will result in a charge equivalent to 25 minutes of the hourly rate * subsequent no-shows will incur a charge of the full hourly rate

Struggling with first-year calculus or linear algebra? The pace can be brutal and I know office hours are packed. I've spent nearly a decade marking and teaching exactly the assignments you're stuck on, so I know where marks actually get lost and where roadblocks usually happen. I've also coached students through Olympiad problem sets, which is mostly about building intuition rather than memorizing steps, and that is my goal whenever I teach. I'm currently a Robotics PhD candidate at York University with a MSc in Applied Mathematics and a Bachelor's in Computer Science (Minor in Math) from TMU. I'm also a TA at York University currently. The core I cover: - Calculus I/II - Linear algebra - Differential equations - Probability & statistics - Discrete Mathematics - General math for CS and engineering students - Functions Grade 11 - Advanced Functions Grade 12 - Calculus and Vectors Grade 12 - Physics Grade 9-12 And I can also help with: - Coding: Java, Python, C++ - Computer Vision How it works: Send me the problem set or topic ahead of time, we work through it live with a shared whiteboard, and you leave with a written summary of what we covered. First 15 minutes free so we can check the fit.
Sujets: C++, Calculus, Calculus 2, Calculus 3, Calculus and Vectors MCV4U, Ontario Curriculum, Coding, Computer Vision, Discrete Math, Integral Calculus, Java, Linear Algebra, Multivariable Calculus, Object Oriented Programming, Pre-Calculus, Python, Statistics, Vector Calculus

Teaching is more than knowing the subject. It’s the delivery. I’m Andrei, an online tutor with over 10 years of experience. I help school students, university students and adult learners work through difficult material with clear explanations and time to ask questions. SCHOOL & HOMESCHOOL SUPPORT Math, English, reading, writing and study skills for Grades 1–12. We can strengthen foundations, work through homework, prepare for tests or move ahead, with the pace and practice adapted to the student. SSAT & ISEE PREPARATION Structured practice in math, reading comprehension and verbal reasoning, with worked examples, practice questions and mock tests. We review mistakes together so students understand the reasoning behind each answer. UNIVERSITY SUPPORT Political science, psychology, English literature and academic writing. I hold a BA in Political Science with a minor in Psychology from York University. I help students make sense of readings, connect course concepts, organise arguments and prepare for assessments. HOW I TEACH We start by finding the step that is causing difficulty. I explain it, work through an example, then give the student a chance to try and explain their thinking. I use original worksheets and practice materials, and adjust the explanation when something hasn’t clicked. Sessions are relaxed, focused and interactive. Lessons are online and in English. Message me with your subject, grade or course level, and what you’d like help with. We can discuss a starting point and arrange a session.

Hello!! My name is Scott Neumann and I'm currently living in Bangkok, Thailand! I'm from Washington, D.C., USA and I have been teaching English to students from around the world for almost 30 years! I’ve taught students of all ages one-to-one, in small group, and in traditional classroom settings in the U.S., Spain, South Korea, Japan, and Thailand. I began teaching English as foreign/second language when I was an exchange student at the Spanish University of Valencia in the early 1990's. I later taught English in the New York City public schools at the elementary and secondary levels. After finishing an MA in Photography and Mass Media Studies, I decided to live abroad and teach English in South Korea. For nearly twenty years I taught English at the primary, secondary, and tertiary(university)levels, as well as senior citizens, privately and in schools and universities. During this time, I was also able to teach and live in Fukuoka and Okinawa Japan, as well as in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Thailand. All of these living/learning/teaching experiences have impressed upon me the importance of maintaining a dynamic yet comfortable learning environment. I firmly believe that as long as students are feeling relaxed, comfortable, and enjoying themselves, there will be no limit to what they can learn. Learning a language is so much more than simply learning another skill. It is a process of becoming a slightly different version of yourself, as you explore new worlds unlocked through your growing capacity to connect with people and cultures through use of another language. The world is vast and wondrous. Let me help you improve, not only your grasp of English, but also your capacity to express yourself, develop new ideas, understand other people, cultures, and points of view that may be very different from your own. Let's get after it together--the world's waiting to hear what you have to say!

Hi! I have a PhD in musicology and have taught music theory and history at both Ivy League and community colleges. As a music scholar, composer, and performer, I have found that it is not enough to study a textbook. To become truly "fluent" in a skill – to develop such an experienced ear, feeling, and mind for a subject that it feels totally natural – we need to unleash our inner curiosity. Rather than forcing my students through a strict, traditional regimen, I view my work as that of a guide. I help my students explore their own passions and goals. I inspire them to ask questions and think independently. I am particularly keen on navigating my students through the vast and amazing world of FREE online music resources and communities. In addition to private tutoring, I have taught music theory and history at Brown University, New York University, Hebrew College, and the Borough of Manhattan Community College. I've written several blogs, including one on the music theory of Disney music. As an out-and-proud transgender woman and omnisexual, I understand and fully support LGBTQ+ students. I look forward to working together!

My favourite part about tutoring is turning "I have no idea what I’m doing” into "wait… that actually makes sense". My name is Elissar, and I’m an Honours Biology graduate from York University, where I took courses in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, math, and other sciences. I'm also an in-person volunteer tutor and have worked with students with different strengths, struggles, and ways of learning. I’ve been through the long study days, stressful exams, busy schedules, and difficult courses myself, so I know that understanding the material is only part of it. Knowing how to study, manage your time, and prepare for an exam matters too. I’m pretty easygoing and patient, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, even if they think the question is "obvious". If something doesn’t make sense the first time, I'll try explaining in a different and easier way. At the end of the day, I want to make school feel a little less stressful and help you become more confident in what you’re doing.
