Master's student tutoring biology and chemistry

I am a Cell Science and Microbiology Master's student at the University of Florida. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with Minor in Chemistry at the University of Central Florida. I have tutored courses including undergraduate Organic Chemistry I and II and Microbiology at the University of Central Florida's Student Academic Resource Center since May 2025. I tutored group and one-on-one sessions in-person and/or online. For Organic Chemistry, I developed exam review materials and other practice materials to aid in deepening my students' understanding. I am a College Reading and Learning Association International Tutor Training Program Certified Advanced Tutor. During my semester serving as Peer Tutor Mentor, I mentored tutors and helped them develop plans to improve their tutoring sessions. Currently, I am taking courses in infectious disease, antimicrobial resistance, and AI in life sciences. During my undergraduate studies, I developed a strong understanding of the principles and techniques of microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and genetics. I understand how to excel in AP courses, having earned a "5" on the AP Biology, Chemistry, Calculus BC, Seminar, World History, US History, and US Government exams. I love helping my students become stronger, more confident learners. There’s nothing like seeing a student finally understand how to solve a problem and watching their confidence grow. As a tutor, I help my students develop more effective study skills and ask many questions to help deepen their understanding. In my sessions, much of the time is devoted coaching students through exam style problems to prepare them to apply their knowledge on high-stakes exams.
