University of Toronto Finance & Economics Specialist | Dean's List Scholar | IB Math AA HL (7/7) | High School & IB Math Tutor

Hi! I'm a Finance and Economics Specialist at the University of Toronto with a strong academic background in mathematics and quantitative problem-solving. I graduated from the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, achieving a 7/7 in Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches Higher Level (AA HL). Having completed this rigorous curriculum myself, I understand the challenges students face when learning complex mathematical concepts and preparing for exams. I offer personalized tutoring in: - **IB Mathematics AA HL & SL:** Functions, calculus, statistics, probability, algebra, and exam preparation. - **Ontario High School Mathematics (Grades 9–12):** Including Advanced Functions, Calculus & Vectors, and foundational math concepts. - **Introductory Economics:** Microeconomics and macroeconomics, including mathematical applications. **My Teaching Approach** I believe that understanding the reasoning behind mathematical concepts is far more valuable than simply memorizing formulas. My lessons are structured around each student's individual needs, learning pace, and academic goals. Sessions typically involve reviewing challenging concepts, working through practice questions step by step, and developing effective problem-solving strategies. For IB students, I can also help with exam-style questions, time management, and understanding what examiners expect. My goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, build confidence in their abilities, and develop the skills necessary to succeed independently. Whether you're aiming for higher grades, preparing for an important exam, or simply looking to strengthen your understanding of math, I'd love to help you reach your academic goals!

UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO

I believe that when it comes to grasping difficult concepts notably in physics and mathematics, there are multiple ways to make it look elementary, the learning process becomes much easier.

I'm currently pursuing my graduate degree in Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry from the University of Toronto. I completed my Bachelors of Technology in Chemical Engineering from VIT University, India. Throughout my undergrad, I have been a core and later on a board member of AIChE, during which I have participated in quite a few K-12 events that involved going to schools around my university and teaching STEM subjects to the students there. Though, I have a number of favorite subjects, Maths, English, Physics and History are among the ones I feel most confident about mainly because these have been favorites since school. I believe that when it comes to grasping difficult concepts notably in physics and mathematics, there are multiple ways to make it look elementary, then the learning process becomes much easier and faster. In my opinion, with the world advancing at a rapid rate, the importance of education is clearly very evident and so is the act of gaining and imparting knowledge as it allows us to comprehend and question all that is happening around us. I try to utilize my free time by watching anime, reading some fiction and listening to true crime podcasts.
