Inspiring Math & Sciences Tutor - 10 years experience - Free Live Consultation

My excellent academic career has nurtured in me a natural talent for teaching. My experiences have taught me how to tackle one problem at a time, and I believe that using this approach—paired with my unconventional examples that force students to think outside the box—I can truly provide an excellent understanding and explanation. Experience: I have been tutoring since 2012 to fund my education expenses. I formally began tutoring in 2014 as part of my vocational training as a teacher in Ghana, funded by the University of Edinburgh. The formal training has taught me a lot about curriculum development, time management, and fusing my teaching methodology to my students’ needs. I have been tutoring in Physics, Chemistry, and Math, in person and online in 8 different countries. I have successful students from these past seven years that have not only commended my work ethic but can also stand testament to my enthusiasm. Methodology: My teaching methodology is based on two main things: skill development and adaptation. Initially, I adapt lectures to the specific needs of the student based on their knowledge and grasp of the concepts. Second, I like to develop analytical and scientific ability along with knowledge in my students, and for that, I use a combination of resources in the form of worksheets, class tasks, and past papers. Last, I believe in the strong ethic of providing feedback to the parents so they know their child’s progress.

Physics Ph.D. | 30+ Years Experience | Ace High School & First-Year University Math & Physics

Subjects Taught Grade 12 Advanced Functions (MHF4U) Grade 12 Calculus & Vectors (MCV4U) Grade 11 Physics (SPH3U) Grade 12 Physics (SPH4U) (Advanced topics such as AP Calculus, AP Physics, and introductory university material are available for well-prepared students by request.) About Me I am a PhD-level Physics educator with over 30 years of teaching experience at the high school and university level. I have extensive experience working with Ontario Grade 11–12 students, particularly in senior mathematics and physics courses that require strong conceptual understanding and disciplined problem-solving. My teaching focuses on: -building clear conceptual foundations -developing structured problem-solving habits -identifying and correcting common exam mistakes -helping students understand the big picture, not just formulas I work best with students who are motivated, engaged, and willing to practice consistently. Teaching Style & Fit My tutoring is best suited for students who: -want to improve accuracy, confidence, and consistency -are preparing for senior-level math or physics exams -value explanation and reasoning over memorization -are willing to participate actively during sessions This may not be the best fit for students seeking last-minute fixes or passive instruction. Session Structure & Expectations -One-on-one tutoring -Sessions are 90 minutes, which is necessary for effective senior math and physics instruction -Sessions are structured, focused, and exam-oriented where appropriate -A minimum of 4 sessions (90 minutes each) is strongly recommended for meaningful progress I offer a 15-minute introductory video chat to confirm academic fit and goals before scheduling tutoring sessions. Final Notes -Hourly rate reflects advanced subject matter and session length -Grades are not guaranteed; progress depends on student effort and consistency

Current Math and Physics Teacher, Math Motivator, Confidence Builder, Contest Coach and Tutor

Hi, i'm Mr. Black, I am a mathematics and physics teacher, tutor and coach. I like to focus on my students individual goals no matter what they may be. We are all different and that is an important thing. Some of us want to pursue trades school, some want to study the cosmos, both are equally important. I will personally tailor lessons towards your specific goals and help you reach them. Maybe you only need help with homework. Or, you want to improve in mathematics and problem solving in general. Perhaps you are looking to enter a STEM program and want to get the best preparation possible. In our first meeting we will discuss your goals and each lesson will be curated to reach them. Mathematics is often confusing because people do not see the pattern. Once the pattern is found, the math is clear. I will help guide you towards seeing the patterns and understanding the mathematics so you do not feel like your learning a million different things. One of my skills that i've developed over the many years as a math educator is being able to diagnose the underlying problem by asking a few simple questions. Once it is clear what you are misunderstanding, I will provide a set of problems and questions which are designed meticulously to bring you from your level to the level you want to be. I like to remind my students that they are smart and creative and they can become better at math just like any other activity or sport; through practice. In this case, guided practice. I will be a coach, a teacher, a tutor, and at times perhaps a peer since my students surprise me all the time with their unique abilities. I want to show you that you can be good at math and it might just require a change of perspective on the subject. Math can be fun and engaging and isnt just a bunch of recipes and instructions. I have lots of experience building fun and creative problems, puzzles and games for math contests and K12 math. I hope to share my passion for math with you!

Hello, my name is Abdul, and I am a Physics and Mathematics tutor with an MS in Physics from a highly ranked university. I enjoy helping students understand Physics in a clear and practical way, without unnecessary pressure or confusion. My goal is to make complex topics feel manageable and logical, so students can build confidence step by step. As a teacher, I am calm, patient, and organized. I focus on understanding how each student thinks and where they struggle, then adjust my explanations to suit their learning style. I have over three years of experience teaching Physics to school and college students, as well as students preparing for competitive and university entrance exams. During this time, I have worked with learners following international and local curricula at secondary and higher secondary levels. Many of my students have improved their exam performance by strengthening their concepts and learning how to approach numerical and theory-based questions correctly. My experience with different syllabus and exam formats helps me guide students efficiently and keep lessons focused on what matters most. My teaching approach is structured and concept-based, with a strong focus on problem solving. I start by explaining the core ideas in simple terms, then move toward examples, practice questions, and exam-style problems. My lessons are suitable for school and college students, exam-preparation students, and anyone who wants to improve their understanding of Physics. Whether you are struggling with basics or aiming for higher scores, lessons are adjusted to your level and goals. If you want structured guidance and clear explanations in Physics, I would be glad to help. Book a trial lesson, and let’s start working toward your academic goals with confidence.

M.Phil in Particle Physics with more than 5 years of experience teaching IB, A-Level and GCSE curriculums

Hello, My name is Jehanzeb and I'm from Pakistan. I have been a full-time college physics teacher since 2020. My overall teaching experience (online and in person) is more than 5 years. I have helped many students improve their grades and also to develop an interest in the subject. I have done my M.Phil in theoretical particle physics from one of the top universities in the country and now I'm pursuing my Ph.D from TU-Dresden, Germany. A lot of students think that physics and mathematics are tough subjects and, to some extent, they are right. But, I think it is the responsibility of a teacher to make the subject easy to follow and fun to learn and this is what I try to achieve as a teacher. To make the subject easy and fun for my students. I can teach GCSE, A-Levels, AP, IB physics, or Undergraduate level physics syllabus. I try to incorporate interactive simulations and graphs in all of my lectures so that students can imagine and visualize the concepts instead of just working with abstract equations. This is especially useful and fun for young students.
