Howdy – I’m Scott. I’m a decidedly non-traditional medical student who didn’t learn how to study effectively until I was an adult, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without the help of tutors! Whether you are just trying to meet graduation requirements or preparing for a career in science or medicine, my goal is to help you develop the skills of a lifelong learner and make myself redundant as soon as possible. We will find the styles of learning that complement your strengths and use those methods to develop in any areas you find more challenging. My background: After graduating with a degree in Information Technology, I initially worked in the entertainment industry training professional video editors before transitioning to medical education. From 2008-2012, I taught clinical skills to medical students at UCSF and the University of Minnesota. From 2013-2020, I worked full-time in clinical research at the University of Colorado. I self-studied to score >90th percentile on my first MCAT attempt and just completed my first year of medical school.
