Hello, my name is Bridgette, and I am 27 years old. I have tutored in math for six years, first in Arizona while obtaining my bachelor's degree and then in California after I graduated from university. I received my bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Northern Arizona University (Go Lumberjacks!). As part of my coursework, I took education classes and was a student teacher for a semester. I am currently working on my associate's degree in Mathematics as preparation for graduate school. I currently tutor Elementary Math up to Algebra II, Integrated Math 1-3, CBEST Math Test Prep, GED Math Test Prep, and Science for elementary and middle school students. My teaching method is to meet students where they are. I focus on student understanding rather than drilling them on practice problems. I ask students questions that guide them thru the concepts rather than lecturing them. This method has worked well for me, as many of my student's grades and confidence have improved. What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students find their love for learning. Once a student finds the desire to learn and expand their understanding of the world, they become a contributor to society. I also like to make it fun.
