Howdy – I’m Scott. I’m a decidedly non-traditional medical student who didn’t learn how to study effectively until I was an adult, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without the help of tutors! I have experience tutoring teenage to adult learners in a broad range of science topics, from basic chemistry to anatomy and physiology. Whether you are just trying to meet graduation requirements or preparing for a career in science or medicine, my goal is to help you develop the skills of a lifelong learner and make myself redundant as soon as possible. My background: After graduating with a degree in Information Technology, I initially worked in the entertainment industry training professional video editors before transitioning to medical education. From 2008-2012, I taught clinical skills to medical students at UCSF and the University of Minnesota. From 2013-2020, I worked full-time in clinical research at the University of Colorado. I self-studied to score >90th percentile on my first MCAT attempt and just completed my first year of medical school.
