I then dove into the classroom and stayed there for 13 years. Over that time, I was fortunate enough to experience various cultures, subjects and age groups. The locations I taught in included Arizona, Ecuador, Venezuela, Utah and Mexico. The first 6 years I taught all subjects to 2nd, 4th, and 5th graders. The ladder part of my career was dedicated to teaching middle school science and math.
