I also have 3 years (2010-2013) of experience working in a pharmacy where I dispensed medications under a pharmacist’s supervision, so I am familiar with the many classes of medications. Aside from the core biology courses, I also took electives in botany, ethnobotany, and plant ecology. After graduating, I spent a year working with rare cultivars of orchids in a private botany laboratory. This entailed tasks such as sterile plant tissue culture and inducing polyploidy in orchids using the drug colchicine.
