~ To all NEW students - First half-hour session is FREE! ~ I have previous experience tutoring Introduction to Neuroscience and Introduction to Chemistry. I am currently applying to medical school while I am volunteering in South Africa, and I took the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) in September 2022 (scored a 509). I took many STEM classes both as an undergraduate pre-medical student and reviewed these subjects in preparation for the MCAT. I look forward to being able to tutor others online while I volunteer in underserved communities in South Africa! As I am planning to attend medical school next year, I have been extensively reviewing science and look forward to helping others succeed in these classes as well!

I’m a Biology educator with more than 10 years of teaching experience in the United States and international schools. I hold an M.S. in Biological Sciences from Clemson University, a B.S. in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University, and an A.S. in Respiratory Therapy. My goal as a tutor is to help students actually understand biology rather than simply memorize information for the next test. I enjoy breaking difficult topics into manageable concepts, identifying where a student’s understanding is breaking down, and helping them develop the confidence to apply what they have learned to unfamiliar questions. I work with both high school and college students and can provide ongoing course support, targeted help with difficult topics, and preparation for quizzes and exams.
