After my PhD I was a professional scientist at Leicester University doing research on the enzyme DNA Gyrase, which supercoils DNA. Astronomy is my hobby (together with playing the saxophone and observing frogs and newts in my pond). I have no other commitments beyond being a tutor, so can devote all of my energy to it.
