I am an enthusiastic teacher of English literature and composition comfortable in both in-person and online settings. Students frequently comment on my easygoing manner in the classroom, my dedication to individual students, and my careful approach to designing lesson plans. One student in my introductory writing class noted, “They care about forming relationships with their students and are very straightforward about a lot of the content, making it easier to understand. They enrich the course with various tools for learning and treat us like every individual is important and equal.” My department at the University of Delaware recognized me for my teaching by awarding me the department’s Innovative Teaching Award in August of 2022. I am currently finishing up my doctorate in English at the University of Delaware. I recently moved from the east coast to Columbus, OH and I’m tutoring alongside some other part-time work as I finish writing my dissertation.
