I enjoy making difficult concepts easier to understand, and my ELA background also allows me to support lab reports, CER responses, research assignments, and evidence-based writing. Much of my career has focused on students with learning differences, including ADHD, dyslexia, executive functioning needs, reading disabilities, and other special education needs. I have completed 55 hours of specialized literacy training for adolescent and older readers with an emphasis on dyslexia and the Science of Reading. I’m comfortable breaking complex tasks into manageable steps and adjusting instruction when something isn’t clicking. I have experience with private tutoring and virtual homebound instruction, so one-on-one and online teaching are familiar to me. I make tutoring comfortable and productive. My goal is to meet students where they are, help them make real progress, and give them strategies they can continue using independently.
