Winning a seat at a top-14 law school requires absolute cognitive precision and clinical mastery of the test architecture. The LSAT is a closed system of absolute logical rules that govern the structural validity of arguments. To consistently break into the 170s, a student must move past standard "test-prep tricks" and master the underlying mechanics of conditional reasoning and semantic analysis. Generic test-prep strategies yield average results. As a Duke University School of Law Juris Doctor graduate, practicing aviation attorney, and FAA-certificated flight instructor who scores at the absolute apex on the LSAT, including a recent official 174 on the modern, updated LSAT format (Top 1% globally), I provide premium, custom-tailored strategic frameworks for ambitious law school candidates. Top-tier candidates choose my tutoring services because I enable them to conquer the new LSAT Format. The removal of the Analytical Reasoning (Logic Games) Section has shifted the entire weight of your score to Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension. Having scored a 174 on the new, updated format at an official administration, I know exactly how to navigate the modern, double-Logical Reasoning section test. In addition, I have a deep mastery of formal logic. My expertise in deductive reasoning is foundational. On prior iterations of the LSAT, I achieved consecutive perfect scores on the Logic Games section at official LSAT administrations. While that section is gone, the core conditional reasoning and analytical speed required to perfect it are the exact skills needed to dominate the Logical Reasoning sections. Because of the rigorous demands of my active legal practice, I maintain a strictly limited private roster of students each cycle to ensure unparalleled attention to detail for each individual candidate. Excellence is not an accident, it is the product of intelligence coupled with precise strategy. Let’s optimize your trajectory.

I graduated summa cum laude from Boston University (B.A. English) and then from Harvard (M.Ed). I am an enthusiastic teacher who believes that the best learning occurs when you are having fun. Great learning means that you won't realize how hard you work to improve because it won't feel like "work." My students are always my number one priority, and they have a lot to say about their experiences. Gene C. says, "I want to thank you for all the help you’ve given me...I had class with you for a little more than two years, and during that time you influenced not only how I write, but also how I think about and approach a problem at hand...You are undoubtedly one of the most influential teachers I have had. I will be attending Princeton University this coming fall and I am quite excited to see what I will learn there. I just wanted to let you know the impact you have made on your students and I know you will continue to inspire your students, just as you have helped me grow academically and mentally." Each course is designed with your strengths and weaknesses in mind, from which I will provide a unique curriculum and individualized practice material. The focus of this curriculum is to challenge you and, as soon as you have achieved a new level, to raise the bar again. I look forward to teaching and learning with you!

I work with high school and college students who want clear, reliable support in science, math, psychology, and MCAT preparation. I graduated Summa Cum Laude, 4.0 GPA from Touro University as a Biology major with a Psychology minor, and completed upper-level coursework in neuroscience, molecular biology, and psychobiology. This academic background allows me to explain complex concepts in a way that feels intuitive and manageable. I tutor all major college science and psychology subjects, as well as MCAT Psych/Soc, Bio/Biochem, CARS strategy, and Physics. Most of my tutoring experience has been one-on-one, supporting students through challenging courses, exam preparation, and long-term academic development. I work extensively with neurodivergent learners—including ADHD, AuDHD, gifted, and anxious students—and I tailor each session to their processing style. My teaching is calm, structured, and focused on breaking difficult topics into clear, understandable steps. Students often tell me that my explanations help material “finally make sense.” My goal is to help every student feel grounded, confident, and capable while mastering demanding subjects.

Hello! My name's Matt. I'm a Princeton and UCLA graduate with nearly two decades of experience in education. Standardized Testing: I've tutored the SAT and ACT for nearly two decades. I've helped hundreds of students improve their scores significantly, often by 200-300 points on the SAT, and by as many as 8-10 points on the ACT. I'm also experienced in tutoring the GRE and the ISEE. Writing Consulting: I have 7 years of experience as a writing consultant for graduate and professional students--PhD students, master's students, and law and medical students. If you're working on a master's thesis, a dissertation, or any other advanced work (including resumes, cover letters, and personal statements), I'm the right choice for you. I've also worked extensively with undergraduates and high-school students on everything from class essays to college admissions essays. In addition to the previous two specialties, I'm also a versatile educator who is experienced in many subjects (both STEM and the humanities) across many age ranges (from kindergarten through adult learners). I have nearly twenty years of experience in education, and will help just about any student in almost any subject area. Please note that my listed rate is my maximum rate, and usually applies to standardized testing and high-level writing consulting. Please inquire about lower rates for other services.

I recently graduated from NYU with a degree in English Literature, summa cum laude with high honors, graduating in the top 5% of my class, and I won my program's award for best thesis. Writing has always been my passion, in every form it takes, and I've built my career around it: I currently work as an editorial assistant at a publishing company, where I write and edit content and review writer submissions every day. My teaching experience has grown out of both formal and informal settings. In college, I co-led TEDx, working one-on-one with student speakers from their very first draft all the way through their final delivery on stage, helping them find the core of what they wanted to say and shape it into something that actually sounded like them. Outside of that, I grew up as the oldest of four siblings and have spent years informally coaching my younger siblings, cousins, and friends through their writing, from grammar basics to full college essays. Several of the students I've worked with on their college essays have gone on to get into their top-choice schools. My approach is conversational rather than clinical. I've found that the best ideas usually surface when a student is just talking through what matters to them, and my job is to help translate that conversation into writing rather than handing them a template to fill in. I focus on college essay writing specifically, working with high school juniors and seniors on personal statements and supplemental essays, but the same approach applies to any writing, grammar, or vocabulary work: ask good questions, listen closely, and help the student find and sharpen their own voice rather than mine.
