I like to use technology in all situations as that gives the flexibility to use animations, videos and graphics on the fly to explain certain things that are otherwise tricky to comprehend for the student.

I focus on closing the gap for students who usually struggle in and/or have fallen behind in Algebra I or the math subjects prior to it, such as Pre-Algebra (7th and 8th grade Math), while helping them build confidence. After I determine the gaps in the student's understanding, the concepts they missed in prior grades or lessons, I then work on closing those gaps so they gain the proper understanding of the math. I also make sure students build confidence by providing opportunities for them to experience success during each session!
