During my time as a graduate student in chemistry (University of Sussex), I was also employed as an Associate Tutor. In this role, I helped supervise students during lab practicals, taught them how to use laboratory equipment, and showed them how to follow synthetic procedures from the literature. I also helped supervise master’s students during their final year research projects. I often marked lab reports and assisted my supervisor with the smooth running of seminars. I enjoy helping people and it makes me happy to watch students master new concepts. I previously obtained an MSc in pharmacognosy from the UCL School of Pharmacy (2014) in London. This program entailed a combination of courses touching upon topics in natural products chemistry, pharmacology, and ethnobotany. My final project involved screening natural and synthetic compounds against bacterial strains. I also have 3 years (2010-2013) of experience working in a pharmacy where I dispensed medications under a pharmacist’s supervision, so I am familiar with the many classes of medications. I graduated from Old Dominion University (2012) with a BS in biology (major) and chemistry (minor). Aside from the core biology courses, I also took electives in botany, ethnobotany, and plant ecology. After graduating, I spent a year working with rare cultivars of orchids in a private botany laboratory. This entailed tasks such as sterile plant tissue culture and inducing polyploidy in orchids using the drug colchicine.

Hello to all who are enthusiastic about science! here are what you need to know about me: -I'm experienced at teaching Biology lessons as I already make YouTube videos explaining the 12th grade biology at Egyptian curriculum. -I usually use Illustrated white board and it's a term I use to express normal white board teaching but with all images and videos that you need to make the lesson clear. As it's very boring hearing the information without imagining the meaning -I prefer Middle, secondary school and university students to take them apart from only studying the information as boring act and make them obsessed about the science and Biology. -My lesson plan is to divide the lesson into smaller topics then explaining every topic visually by images and by drawing first then theoretically and repeating rapidly with receiving the feedback from the student then proceeding to the next point and after finishing all small topics I take a rapid review on the whole lesson.
