Passionate Chemistry and Biology Tutor

Hi my name is Andrew. I am currently a sophomore at UCLA majoring in Biology. I enjoy learning science and I believe through tutoring, I would be able to share this passion with people around me. I would describe myself as passionate, enthusiastic, and respectful. I am super passionate with the subjects I hope to teach, and in terms of respect, I believe respect is another important quality to have as a tutor. I understand that everyone is different in their own ways; and therefore, respecting one another can help create a safe and harmonious learning environment. Chemistry and Biology can both be confusing and daunting at times, but remember I was in your shoes not long ago. I am here to help you through any confusing topics and hopefully you will find chemistry and biology enjoyable to learn in the future!

Creative and Fun ESL Teacher

I have taught some necessary English skills to ESL Learners. Ages spanning from Five to Twelve years old, for over a year. These skills include improving grammar, listening, reading, phonics and conversation. I do my best to actively listen and speak clear enough for my students to understand me. I value their input and have even rewarded them for correcting me. I do that to show how transparent I am . I also want them to know that I make mistakes too, just like them. As for evaluating how they read. I read along with them and politely critique their reading when it comes to pronunciation, intonation and fluency. I believe the classroom setting should be collective environment where everyone can learn, work hard and respect each other. Feel free to join my classroom if you are interested.

Passion for English

I am patient and very excited about the English language. I have also started from zero as English is not my native language but I am now proud to say that I sound like a native. I have lived and studied in the US where I completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology but my passion for the language never left me. I am exited to teach others the secrets of learning quickly and successfully.

Medical Student offering tuition in Sciences and Maths up to GCSE

Medical student offering personal tuition for students of any skill level from junior school to GCSE. From October to April, most of my time is spent at university in Birmingham, but through the Summer months I'm back home in Portsmouth. I attended the Portsmouth Grammar School from age 8 to 18, and achieved 11 A*s at GCSE and 41/45 points at IB Diploma (A level equivalent). In that time I also gained early experience in tuition, assisting with junior school French and English classes. I have always found tremendous satisfaction from helping others learn and grasp concepts, and would love to share any knowledge and experience gained through school and university to assist others in their progress and allow them to feel more confident in their learning. Having seen my own brother struggle with dyslexia and subsequently thrive thanks to one-to-one sessions, I have a true appreciation for the difference that personal tuition can make not only to a child's learning, but also to their self-esteem. Everybody works best using different techniques, many of which are not fully utilised in a classroom setting. I would give students an opportunity to tackle areas of weakness using learning styles best suited to them.
