Hey there! I'm currently studying at the University of Calgary to get an engineering degree. I have always had a passion for math, science, and teaching!
Having worked in the tutoring industry for the past seven years with children as young as 5 years old, to adults as old as 21 years old, I have developed several techniques and skills that allow me to adapt to each of my student’s needs. My goal is not only to help my students apprehend the subject they are learning, but also develop the procedures necessary to tackle new concepts and material on their own. Though this may sound counterintuitive, my sincere hope is that I can help my students become confident enough in their own capability that they become independent of me. This is what I was lucky enough to have learned from those who were trusted to help teach me through my years of schooling, and this is what I hope to pass on to those who trust me to teach them.

And well it's difficult. There may be an easy away around it to the solution, or a nice and simple method for solving every problem. But it's not obvious. Especially if it's not taught to you. Not to say teachers do a bad job, but there's so many students. All with different interests in teaching style. One on one helps a ton, but I go beyond and hone into your needed way of tutoring, giving out step by step procedures. Or working through multiple problems until you understand them.
