In my experience, anyone can learn anything if given the right resources and guidance. I feel like I can help someone learn whatever they are needing help with. If it's a subject that I am unfamiliar with, I will learn it right along with them to help show that learning process from my point of view. I find that using analogies, connections to personal experiences, and relating subjects to prior knowledge can help solidify those ideas that might need some polishing. However, there are many other strategies that help make something click and we'll find that strategy together!

My passion for languages began when I was 13, when I first started learning Spanish. The prospect of speaking other languages, allowing me to travel to different countries and engage with the cultures there was something very inspiring for me. Something that I found challenging when learning the language was to find motivation, therefore I ensure to instill confidence in my students by speaking in Spanish, demonstrating that their level of language is usually better than they may think it is, motivating them to keep putting the work in to get to the level that they want to get to. With my tutoring sessions, I also provide University application advice for A Level students where I can, as well as tutoring for the culture side of their studies, not solely on the language side. Hello! My name is Craig and I am eager to work with you. Here is some information about me so that you can decide if I am the right person to help: I am a graduate from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a degree in Foreign Language and International Trade. My love of language started in high school when I was an exchange student in Panama. I lived for six months with a local host family, I learned to speak Spanish and I adapted to the culture. This experience has made me a much more flexible person, better able to work and communicate with people from other cultures and backgrounds. Logan College. Since graduating I have lived in Colombia, South America. I love helping others, which always makes teaching people a pleasure. My teaching methods include games and conversation, along with grammar and sentence structure exercises.
